Ritual of penance and self flagellation of the Christian religion. It takes place during the processions of Holy Week in the night of Holy Thursday and all day on Good Friday. It's made by a group of people as an act of faith and voluntarily, called penitents, hitting back continued with a hank. San Vicente de la Sonsierra, La Rioja, Spain. April 2014.
